1. What EasyToDefend is
EasyToDefend checks whether an email address you control appears in known data breaches and gives you a clear report of what was exposed and what to do about it. Your first scans are free.
2. Data sources
Breach data is provided by a third-party breach-intelligence provider. We do not originate, collect, or purchase breach data ourselves, and we only query it for an identifier after you have verified that you control it. We never store exposed passwords: when you unlock a report, the exposed values are shown to you once and then discarded. We retain only breach metadata (the breach name, date, and the categories of data exposed).
3. Acceptable use
You may only use EasyToDefend to check identifiers that you own or are explicitly authorized to control, and ownership is verified before any result is shown. You may not use EasyToDefend to look up, profile, harass, or investigate any other person, and you may not attempt to bypass verification, rate limits, or any security control. You must be at least 18 years old.
4. No prohibited purposes
You may not use EasyToDefend or any data obtained through it to determine eligibility for credit, insurance, employment, housing, or any purpose governed by the Fair Credit Reporting Act or similar laws, or in any manner that violates any applicable privacy law.
5. Billing
Your first scans are free. A one-time Full Report unlock is a single charge, and additional scans can be bought in one-time credit packs. All purchases are billed via Stripe as one-time payments — there are no subscriptions and nothing auto-renews. Purchased scans do not expire. Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable, and misuse of the service may end your access without a refund.
6. Limitations & no guarantee
Reports reflect publicly known breach data available at the time of the check and may be incomplete or inaccurate. A result showing no exposure does not guarantee that your information has never been, or will never be, exposed in an unreported or future breach. EasyToDefend is provided “as is,” is not a consumer reporting agency, does not provide consumer reports, and is not liable for decisions you make based on a report.
7. Changes & contact
We may update these terms from time to time; material changes will be posted here. For questions, or to access or delete your data, use our data removal page or contact our support channel.
